Please love me
when I love you
leave the memories behind
let the bastard sons rekindle-in their past from future time.
Hold me tighter Hold me tighter like today
there's never another force me down
force me down be my homosexual lover.
CLEVELAND This month's Cleveland Area Lesbian Feminist Alliance activities are plentiful. On July 17th and lowa City woman who has written a play called "The Performance" will appear at a fund raiser benefiting C.A.L.F.A. with a party to follow. Information for this women only event can be obtained by calling the Lesbian Switchboard (216) 932-2669.
On July 25th, C.A.L.F.A. will hold a softball game at Edgewater Park, 2:00 p.m. by the Pavilion. All sisters are welcome.
Godmother's II will be hosting an Oven Productions sponsored Women's Night on August 5. An evening of live music and poetry is scheduled.
Other C.A.L.F.A. activities include the ongoing black lesbians group and a second general support group on the East Side open to all women.
Effective July 25, an hours change will take place on the Lesbian Switchboard. On and after that date the phone will be operative Sunday through Thursdays, 7 10 p.m. only. Volunteers are still needed to staff the Switchboard. Women interested in lending a hand should call (216) 932-2669 to offer their services.
Apparently, there has been some misconception in the general lesbian community about C.A.L.F.A.'s stated purpose. Although there are politically active women in the organization, C.A L.F.A. itself represents a broad spectrum of political views. Its major stated purposes are 1) to provide for the association of lesbians in the Cleveland area and 2) to foster the development of relationships, thoughts, and actions which serve the needs and aspirations of the Cleveland area lesbian community.
C.A.L.F.A. has just initiated a monthly newsletter. Those interested in obtaining a copy should either inquire through the Lesbian Switchboard or write C.A.L.F.A., P.O. Box 18458, Cleveland, Hts.. Ohio 44118.
